One year into the EU Instant Payments Regulation, SEPA Instant availability has effectively reached parity with standard SEPA credit transfers across major participating banks. The downstream effect on payment-method choice - for both consumers and businesses - is starting to show up in the data.
For merchants, the next decision is whether to offer pay-by-bank flows backed by SEPA Instant as a primary checkout option in markets where wallet penetration is moderate.
